Parish administration
For whoever the parish has asked to keep its information up to date in the Catholic Apps: mass times, contact details and news for parishioners.
- Do it on
- Phone to register · computer to update
- Time needed
- 8 min read
- Before you start
- The app installed and signed in
- When you finish
- Parishioners see correct parish information
Three main tasks
Register as a parish administrator
RegularUpdate information and mass times
RegularPublish an article for parishioners
The order to do them in
- Request administrator rights and wait for approval — without it you cannot edit anything
- Update parish information — address, contact, Sunday and weekday mass times
- Publish articles when there is news, an announcement or photos of parish activities
This is what parishioners look up most often in the app. Wrong mass times cause real trouble for people coming to Mass, so update them as soon as the parish changes its schedule.

Frequently asked questions
How long does admin approval take?
Your request is reviewed by the administration team, usually within a few working days. You get an email once it is accepted. See Register as a church administrator.
I changed the mass times — when do parishioners see them?
There is no further approval step, but a parishioner's device needs a little time to sync. If the app still shows the old times, wait a few minutes, then close and reopen the app.
Can I edit or delete an article after publishing?
Tap the … icon in the corner of the article, then choose Edit to change it or Delete to remove it.
A deleted article cannot be recovered. For a simple typo, choose Edit rather than deleting and republishing.
Can I do this on a phone?
Requesting administrator rights is done on a phone. Updating mass times and publishing articles are better done on a computer — both involve a lot of typing and tables, which is error-prone on a small screen.
