New to the app? Start here
Just three things. Once they are done, you can use the parts that matter most.
Install the app and sign in
Search for “Thông Tin Công Giáo” on the App Store or Google Play, then sign in with Google.
Pick your parish
Choose country, then diocese, then search for your parish and tap Follow.
Check your parish mass times
Open the parish you just followed — mass times for each day appear at the top of the page.
Every step above can be undone. Viewing or following a parish does not delete anything.
What do you need to do?
Two kinds of work, done on two different devices.
I only want to read and take part
Mass times, parish news, quizzes, Light Points, Saint Cards. All on your phone.
I have to enter and manage data
Mass times, articles, quiz questions, catechism classes. Better on a computer.
What those words mean
- Dashboard
The management site you open on a computer, at dash.i-catholic.org. It is for data entry — not the phone app.
- Follow a parish
Marking your parish so the app shows its news and mass times first.
- Parish administrator
Permission to edit parish information. You have to request it and wait for approval.
- Light Points
Points you earn for taking part in the app; spend them to open Saint Cards.
- QR attendance
Recording who is present by scanning the square code on each student's phone.
If this feels hard, that is the documentation's fault
Six rules we hold ourselves to, so that someone with no experience can still get things done:
- One page teaches one task. The page title is the task you want to do, not the name of a feature.
- One action per step. Short sentences starting with a verb: “Tap Menu”, “Choose Vietnam”.
- Real screenshots with the spot circled. Tap an image to see it larger, for anyone with weaker eyesight.
- No jargon. We write “save” instead of “commit”, “list” instead of “catalog”.
- Every guide ends with “you are done when…”. So you can check yourself instead of guessing.
- Always a way out. Every page has a “Something went wrong?” block and a way to reach support.
Message your parish support team with a screenshot of what you are seeing — that is the fastest way to get help.
