Glossary: words you will meet

Menu (Danh mục): The last tab at the bottom of the app, holding almost every feature. See Get to know the «Menu» screen.
Admin site (trang quản trị): The website opened on a computer (dash.i-catholic.org) for people the parish has given management work: catechism classes, the parish register, parish news. Sign in with Google.
Parish (giáo xứ): A community of the faithful in the care of a priest. In the system, your role belongs to one specific parish.
Sub-parish community (giáo họ): A smaller community that belongs to a parish.
Diocese (giáo phận): Several parishes together under a bishop.
Role (vai trò): The work you have been given in a parish, for example Catechist or Office Manager. Your role decides which items you see. See I cannot find an item.
School year (năm học): One full catechism course of a parish, usually running from the start to the end of a year. Classes and students belong to a school year.
Term (học kỳ): A part of the school year. Grades and schedules are split by term.
Institute / Academy (Học viện): A mode for Catholic training institutions (an institute or a seminary). A parish in this mode sees «Academy» instead of «Catechism school», and has no «Game Rooms».
Catechism Class Management (Lớp Giáo Lý): The entry for catechists and the catechism board to manage classes, students, attendance and grades.
Light Points (Điểm Ánh Sáng): Points you earn for devotional activity in the app (check-in, reading the Word of God…). With enough points you open Holy Cards.
Journey Chain (Chuỗi Hành Trình): The number of consecutive days you have checked in to the app, together with the tasks that earn points.
Holy Blessing (Lộc Thánh): One verse from the Word of God meant for you each day, renewed at 00:00.
Holy Cards (Thẻ các Thánh): A set of cards with the picture, biography and prayer of the saints, opened with Light Points.
Luce: The assistant in the app, answering about Mass times, the Word of God, catechism and how to use the app.
Mini Apps: Small apps contributed by the community, opened right inside the app.
ID code (mã định danh): A code unique to each account, starting with the letter U. Relatives use it to connect with you.
Parish register (sổ bộ): The parish's record of parishioners and sacraments. Your parishioner record is kept in it.
Parishioner record (hồ sơ giáo dân): The line about you in the parish register. It is different from your sign-in account; you can link the two.
Room code (mã phòng): A string of characters for entering a quiz game room. See Join a game room with a room code.
Check-in (điểm danh): Two different things: the daily check-in that keeps your streak and earns Light Points, and the class attendance that records which students were present at a session.
