QR scanning in the app

Self check-in with the session's QR code
Students scan the session's QR code to mark their own attendance. If the class has location (GPS) check-in turned on, they can check in without scanning. If the profile is missing basic details, the app asks for them first.

Join a class by scanning a QR code
Scan the session's code to join the class. If one account has several children, the app opens the child the code is meant for.

School-wide check-in at the gate
Staff scan student cards at the gate. Each result (checked in, already present, not in this school) shows a different message. If a student forgets their card, look them up by name.

Scan a parent's account QR
Scan a parent's code to link them to a student during check-in. The link can be removed right from the student's profile.

One scanner for every kind of code
The Directory has a smart scanner that recognizes what a code is. When a code is rejected, the app says why and offers a “View profile” button.

Catechists show a QR code in the Attendance tab
A “Show QR” button displays the code for the whole class to scan. Sessions are picked from a list with clear times.
